The DCMMS version number is split in three parts: Major, minor and revision.

DCMMS versions that don't change the data model in the database only increase the revision number (minor feature enhancements, bug fix releases).

For DCMMS releases changing the data model in the database, the minor number is increased.

The major number will be changed in case of large scale technology changes.
